What an Adventure!
Returning to the city after seven beautiful days in Chetumal is always tough! What a fun time we had! My three guests arrived to Mexico City on the 5th and after dropping off their gear we went to wander the cobblestone streets of the beautiful “Magic Town” , Tepoztlan. They had their first introduction to delicious Mexican cuisine as we feasted on sopes, tlacoyos and quesadillas. The next day we visited the Sun and Moon pyramids at Teotihuacan before heading to the small towns of Zumpango and Tepozotlan. On Monday we toured Mexico City and on Tuesday we flew to Chetumal. Our guests loved our new house and the quietness of Quintana Roo´s capital city. Over the next week we visited the Bacalar Laguna and Cenote; Mahahual (an amazing beach on the Caribbean Ocean); the Mayan ruins at Oxtankah, Tulum and Cobà; and a very natural beach located with the Sian Kaan National Wildlife Reserve. Of course drinks and delicious food were also enjoyed next to the ocean boardwalk in the heart of Chetumal. The weather was absolutely gorgeous – what more could we ask for?!?!
Can you see why we are already working on plans to get another week long trip going in July? I can´t wait! Email me for more info at ohpanatours@gmail.com
Emily and Bencar are great hosts. We had so much fun touring around with them and seeing all the things you would not normally see if you were with a large group. It was great having our own personal guides and translaters. The food and drinks were wonderful . It was great trying all the custom foods.
I can’t wait for a return trip!.
